A brief student orientation to CAS services is available at any CAS location upon instructor request. Visit our Contacts page and reach out to a Learning Resource Specialist at your location to schedule a classroom visit or tour.
Workshop Participant Verification
Some instructors may assign or offer extra credit for specific workshops. Verification of workshop completion will be provided by Miya Clark (clarkmi@swissabc.net).
CAS Information in Canvas Commons
Insert current CAS information into your Canvas courses from Commons. Simply type
"Center for Academic Success" into the search bar and import the text into your course.

Changes for SP25 include: updated hours at the Glenn County Center CAS and a direct
link for students to add the current EDUC 310 course.
Faculty Recommendations
CAS hires student employees as Tutors, SI Leaders, and Front Desk support every semester.
Qualified applicants are enrolled in at least 6 units and have a 3.0 GPA. To apply
as a Tutor or SI Leader, students must also submit a recommendation from a Butte College
instructor.

The Center for Academic Success (CAS) offers free academic help to all enrolled Butte College students. k3x8.swissabc.net/cas.
Locations & Hours (also found in EDUC 310 Canvas course):
Chico Center – CHC 230. M/T: 9am to 6:00pm, W/Th: 10am to 8 pm, F: 9am to 12pm
Glenn County Center – GCC 113. M/W: 10:30am to 2:30pm, T/Th: 11am to 7pm
Main Campus – LRC 203. M-Th: 8 am to 5 pm, F: 8 am to 2 pm
- DROP-IN TUTORING – No appointment needed
- DROP-IN COMPUTER SUPPORT – CHC 231 and GCC 113
- LAPTOP CHECK OUT AT ANY LOCATION
- CRITICAL SKILLS WORKSHOPS – Schedules available at all CAS locations, from k3x8.swissabc.net/cas/workshops, and in Canvas (EDUC 310)

To access all services, students register for EDUC 310, which is free, non-graded, and no-credit. Follow this link to enroll in control #3286.
Test Proctoring
CAS currently offers test proctoring on Main Campus Tuesdays from 10:00 am to 2:00
pm. Contact Amy Hughes (530-895-2808) for more information. CAS does not offer test proctoring during finals week.
Proctorio is an online testing service provided as part of the Online Education Initiative.

Academic Coaching
Learning Resource Specialists, faculty members in CAS, are available to meet one-to-one with students, addressing learning strategies to support their academic success.
Instructors can refer students personally or through the Early Alert process; students can self-refer by coming to CAS and requesting to meet with a Learning Resource Specialist.
